So Cute

Okay I have a cousin who's 3 (I think ) named Daniel, if you've had the chance to meet him you know how freakin' cute he is. But the best thing ever is that him and his brother always play Tony Hawk on Playstation and last time I went to his house he was singing Blitzkrieg Bop and Ace of Spades! Motorhead!! God Bless that game. Now they got Tony Hawk Underground 2 and he was singing Beat Your Heart Out by the Distillers! DISTILLERS!

Okay I'm done with that, you really have to be there to get the full effect.

So tonight I was at my aunt's house for my uncle Bruno's B-Day (some of you know him as Edwin...yes Theresa I remember...) Best Game ever to play with Hyper kids " Diana pretends to sleep on the couch" it was fun. Anytime I moved Michelle yelled "no peeking" and I got to sleep. Great game...

Well, we cursed it

John is dead! Yes my dad's goldfish, he says we cursed it... I'm worried for George...

Merry, Merry Christmas

I wasn't expecting much from Christmas this year, I mean after the worst 4 months of my entire life just finished I didn't think Christmas was going to be much better. We didn't put up a tree, or lights, or any decorations for that matter. But, After watching Elf 5 times I started to get into the Christmas spirit. But it's still SO hard to believe it's the first Christmas without my grand-father and my grand-mother is going through almost the same thing.

So of course I end up doing my shopping Friday. I went with Matthew to the pet store to get a bird for my grand-mother (my dads mom). This bird is SO cute, but it never made a noise and it wouldn't move, like you could actually pet it and it wouldn't try to bite your hand off. That was fun, but while we were at the pet store Matthew thought it would be funny to get my dad a dozen goldfish in a little bowl. The guy at the pet store made us only get 4... It was so funny cuz we walk in the door when we get home and he just hands the bag of fish to my dad and the box with the aquarium that needs to be set up. So my dad was kinda confused, and he kinda hated it but we wanted to get something for my mom so we let my dad deal with the mess. Oh ya, and we named the fish on the way home so my dad didn't even get to name his own fish. We named then John, Paul, George and Ringo, I know it's sad...

anyway, got 2 go...

Remember When You Wanted To Change Your Name To Jeff?

Okay, time for another installment of Diana posting things no one cares about...

The randomness that came to mind this time : Guys named Jeff who play guitar. I don't know about you but I was always seemed to get Jeff Healey confused with Jeff Buckley who I thought was Jeff Beck... Anyway if you don't even reconize those names don't bother reading on... I know it's not really important but it was frustrating me cuz I knew one of them is blind, one of them is dead and one of them is old and now I think I've figured everything out. So here goes...

Jeff Buckley

Chances are you've seen this picture before...Grace by Jeff Buckley came out in 1994 and is still talked about today. It's one of those album that's always considered one of the best of the 90s that everyone seems to love. (It's actually really good). It was the only album he made. He died 3 years later when he went swimming in the Mississippi River and drown.

Jeff Buckley = "The dead Jeff"

Jeff Healey

Jeff Healey is a blues guitarist, he's got a band called The Jeff Healey Band. Basically they've been around forever and they have like a million album but no songs I've ever heard of. Oh ya, and he's blind... it seems to come with the territory of blues guitarist

Jeff Healey = "The blind Jeff"

Jeff Beck

He's considered on of the best rock guitarists ever. He replaced Clapton when he left the Yardbirds. Then he had a band called the Jeff Beck Group with Rod Stewart and Ron Woods, but Rod Stewart left to make a solo career. He tried making like 10 other bands but it never worked out so he just went solo. The only hit he had was when he got Rod Stewart to sing. Then he won a grammy for best rock instrumental...

Jeff Beck = "The old Jeff"

OTHER IMPORTANT JEFFs IN MUSIC:

Jeff Timmons

That's right, Jeff Timmons realeased a solo album this summer I bet you never even heard about it... Don't pretend like you don't remember who he is.

Jeff Foxworthy

Ya Jeff Foxworthy didn't make music...but he has a hell of a lot of cds so that's good enough. Remember when he had a sitcom? Basically he made a pretty successful career off of "you know your a redneck when..." jokes, but it's gotten kind of old and annoying. We get it you're lazy and not well educated and your grand-uncle-brother's a drunk...

Last but not least, possibly the MOST important Jeff in music...

Queen To Reunite With Bad Company Singer Playing Freddie Mercury

Okay, if you haven't figured it out by now the only website I check every day is chartattack.com. That's pretty much where I get all my news. So I go on today and I see this aticle about Queen. As per usual you can read the article HERE.

I'm not sure why this whole thing bothers me so much, but I just hate this idea. I mean it's cute when they do some kind of tribute to Freddy, but I think a tour is a bit much. On the other hand maybe it's just because I don't like Paul Rogers. (Paul Rogers is the singer for Bad Company. They were the first band signed to Led Zeppelin's record label,Swan Song, in the 70s. They actually had a few hits... That "new" Kid Rock song Feel Like Makin' Love was probably their biggest hit. I though they had a lot of big hits, but I was thinking of Foreigner songs...) Anyway, this whole thing just bothers me. I mean if they're so deparate to make music why wouldn't they make a new band and write new songs. It could be like Velvet Revolver, except with really good musicians (just kidding I love Slash). Freddy Mercury was just one of those people you can't replace. He was just so amazing with so much personality, you just end up doing an immitation. Not to mention he was the best rock singer EVER, I mean pure singing skills no one comes close.

i shouldn't be trusted with a credit card

3 words:
internet shopping spree

i won't mention cal...

"Green Day's smash album, "American Idiot," received nominations in the following categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. "American Idiot" also received the nod in the Best Short Form Music Video as well as Producer of the Year, non-classical for Rob Cavallo."

I know you're all probably more up to date than I am but I think it's so cool that Green Day's getting some props. Like they're not just nominated for the crappy awards they do during the day and don't bother airing on tv, this is the big ones like Album of the Year. We all know someone gay-ass like Alicia Keys is going to win but still cool. Speaking of Alicia Keys, my Dad got all mad cuz she was on tv yesterday performing but she was like walking around instead of sitting behind her piano. He says she "sold out", I guess you had to be there to get the full effect of why this is funny, but he went on for 20 minutes. He was really upset...

Dimebag Darrell was shot and killed last night, I thought it was worth mentioning. It's been on the news all morning, but they just keep calling him "the guitarist from Damage Plan and Pantera". Four other people were killed...read the articleHERE

I don't know if you call it "ironic", but yesterday was the 24th anniversary of John Lennon's shooting. I don't think Dimebag was exactly the next Lennon, but he was definitely really respected. I think most of what I'm typing today is pretty incoherent- I'm really stressed out for my physics exam:( :(

In better news, VINCE NEIL is on his way to being hot again. I can't believe the Crue are back together (I hope it lasts more than a month)

Tommy Lee is SO freaking hot, Mick: good move with the hat and glasses

Mick Mars got hip replacement surgery...I didn't know that...

anyone need a bass player/ rhythm guitar??

i know i don't really post that often, but i don't understand why i have some kind of strange guilt for it... i mean the only people who read this i talk to everyday (except theresa)so i don,t really see the need to type the crap that we end up talking about later...i don't know where i'm going with that, i'm trying to justify not posting and at the same time writting anything to feel like i posted something.
Anyway, if that didn't make sense i don't blame you

So I'm watching much music and "run" by snow patrol comes on and i've heard of them but i couldn't say i've heard any of their songs. Then halfway through i realised i definently heard this song before, but i'm not sure where and it's kind of bothering me. I think it was on the OC.

OMG I HATE SARAH FROM MUCH MUSIC!! SHE'S SO GAY!!!

Lastly, I'm sure if you talked to me at all in the last couple months i've complained about how my band is currently non-existent. I miss playing SO much, i mean i know we weren't great but it was better than nothing. I guess i should at least try to write some stuff on my own but that seems useless. I actually thought that we'd get to college and find a guitarist/singer right away, but everyone seems to play drums... Even Bufo's in a band :( Anyway, if you hear anything keep me posted...

Okay so i finished decorating my blog (for now), and as a final touch i wanted to add a clock. I just want a vote on which one I should keep. and if anyone knows how i could lower the top one (see how it's too high up in the title)that would be great...
