Queen To Reunite With Bad Company Singer Playing Freddie Mercury

Okay, if you haven't figured it out by now the only website I check every day is chartattack.com. That's pretty much where I get all my news. So I go on today and I see this aticle about Queen. As per usual you can read the article HERE.

I'm not sure why this whole thing bothers me so much, but I just hate this idea. I mean it's cute when they do some kind of tribute to Freddy, but I think a tour is a bit much. On the other hand maybe it's just because I don't like Paul Rogers. (Paul Rogers is the singer for Bad Company. They were the first band signed to Led Zeppelin's record label,Swan Song, in the 70s. They actually had a few hits... That "new" Kid Rock song Feel Like Makin' Love was probably their biggest hit. I though they had a lot of big hits, but I was thinking of Foreigner songs...) Anyway, this whole thing just bothers me. I mean if they're so deparate to make music why wouldn't they make a new band and write new songs. It could be like Velvet Revolver, except with really good musicians (just kidding I love Slash). Freddy Mercury was just one of those people you can't replace. He was just so amazing with so much personality, you just end up doing an immitation. Not to mention he was the best rock singer EVER, I mean pure singing skills no one comes close.

The fuck?

"Doors of the 21st Century", anyone?

This whole "let's resurrect legendary bands by replacing the charismatic lead singer with some washed-up has-been who sounds/looks/acts nothing like the original lead singer" thing has gone too far for my liking. And when stuff goes too far for my liking, action must immediately be taken. Lest we end up with "Nirvana II: Featuring Billy Corgan* as Kurt Cobain".

Diana, if you want to save rock music I suggest you get your dad to take you, get him drunk on red wine, and then have him yell the greatest things ever at the stage, like "WHERE'S THE FONZ?!" and "YOU DIDN'T DO 'STAIRWAY TO HEAVEN'!!"

*I actually love Billy Corgan. I was just trying to prove a point. Which I think I did.
