"Green Day's smash album, "American Idiot," received nominations in the following categories: Album of the Year, Record of the Year, Best Rock Album, Best Rock Song, Best Rock Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal. "American Idiot" also received the nod in the Best Short Form Music Video as well as Producer of the Year, non-classical for Rob Cavallo."

I know you're all probably more up to date than I am but I think it's so cool that Green Day's getting some props. Like they're not just nominated for the crappy awards they do during the day and don't bother airing on tv, this is the big ones like Album of the Year. We all know someone gay-ass like Alicia Keys is going to win but still cool. Speaking of Alicia Keys, my Dad got all mad cuz she was on tv yesterday performing but she was like walking around instead of sitting behind her piano. He says she "sold out", I guess you had to be there to get the full effect of why this is funny, but he went on for 20 minutes. He was really upset...
